Easily integrated into network systems, MPB Communications 1RU pre-amplifier series provide users with a system ready solution for optical pre-amplification. Designed for 19”, 23”, or ETSI telecom Subrack, the enclosure operates off a dual input 48V power supply. Based on MPB’s EOA Series Gain Modules, the 1RU-R line of preamplifiers provides one of the lowest noise figures in the industry, resulting in the exceptional effective receiver sensitivity. A gain flattened model for WDM applications and single-channel model with fixed filter are available.

Each pre-amplifier is controlled via CRAFT terminal graphic user interface, which allows the user to control and monitor alarms and key parameters such as a power, gain, and pump current.

1RU-R operates as a pre-amplifier. Installed right before the receive equipment, it provides pre-amplification of the signal from the link.  These preamplifiers provide one of the lowest noise figures in the industry.
