Moderate power (500mW) laser source used for distributed Raman post- or pre-amplification (LDP-500-1450) in the C-band or for remote pumping of ROPA unit (LDP-500-1480).
The LDP-500 is a microprocessor-based PIU.
The major function of the LDP-500 is to provide optical pump power for distributed Raman amplification or, in the case of the 1480-nm model, to provide pump power for a Remote Optically Pumped Amplifier (ROPA).
Includes OSC coupling optics for hazard level 1M operation
