Micro Broadband Source
EBS-xs

Small modular broadband sources with extremely low output ripple and high stability.

Available in both C and L band for applications where a stable light source is needed as in optical sensing and spectroscopy.

  • Compact (MSA size)
  • Output power up to 20 dBm
  • Stability < ± 50 mdB/hr
  • Available in C and L Band
  • Craft Terminal Interface
  • Customization available

Applications

  • Wide-dynamic-range characterization of components such as AWGs and FBGs
  • Alternative to multiple DFB lasers and multiplexer in telecommunications test sets
  • Accurate gain-spectrum measurement of EDFAs with spectral-hole burning included
  • Local networking using spectral slicing or optical code-division multiplexing
  • PMD measurements of long-span fiber links
  • Gyroscopes
